Iljimae Episode 9 & 10

I can't wait for the next episode of this.

Episode 9
Last episode it left off Yong meeting Eun Chae, then they started to sit on the tree like when they were young. I think both of them felt that each other is the one that they meet when they were young, just that it is still unsure.

The trick in stealing the money was discover by Shi Hoo, it was a smart trick but I wonder if he made that underground basement. It shows back a review of how Yong and the soldiers were before the money was stolen.

Sol Dol opens a lock store but benefits Yong as Sol Dol knows a lot about making locks which are sold to rich people. Then it talks about this black pearl that was within the box of money and all they want back is the black pearl which is meant to be given to the king. To capture Iljimae the government sent more guards and Yong was chased as he was suspicious. Eun Chae encounter this rich kid who wants to flirt with her, Yong appear to save her but was beaten up instead. This leaves a more deep impression to Eun Chae.

Something with the government about this guy and those guys are trying to make the king change his decision. As the money that Yong stolen was from the people at the supermarket, so he returned them all so he started being a chivalrous robber who robs corrupt government officials to give to the poor.

Afterward Yong and Shi Wan became good friends as Yong saved him in a gamble. Otherwise Shi Wan would looses one of his finger. This was a for Yong to get closer to Shi Wan so that he could find out who killed his father.

Episode 10
Bong Soon finally found out that Yong was the little kid that protected her when they were young. She then have confused feelings about it. On the other hand Eun Chae still remembers Geom, the little boy she met when they were young.

For the club meeting Yong disguised as another guy to get in, he was wearing a disguised mask that was made by his friend but it only last a certain amount of time otherwise it will harm his skin. He then got in and stolen the golden turtle.

When Yong was about to leave as he was just checked by Shi Wan, Shi Hoo suspect him as his mask is melting. His mask was about to be taken off by Shi Hoo but someone screamed "Iljimae" and everyone ran there and within this commotion he ran off. He was lucky that the timing was just right before he gets discover by Shi Hoo. Yong then knows that his father's death has something got to do with this club.

He was hated by Eun Chae as she saw him hitting a little kid but actually he was just hitting himself. Then Eun Chae saw him hanging around his brother Shi Wan and hated him even more. Yong overheard Eun Chae and this girl talking about Iljimae how cool he was, robbing and saving the poor.

At the end of the episode, Yong as Iljimae kidnapped Eun Chae. So I'm guessing Eun Chae has started to develop a feeling for Iljimae and Bong Soon has the feelings for Yong. But it seem like Yong likes Eun Chae probably because he knows she's the little girl he met before.

Iljimae Episode 7 & 8

Continue on with my review for episode 7 & 8 of Iljimae.

Episode 7
This episode was good! Ryung was arrested for selling porns and Ryung's sister was capture because of Shi Hoo. Both of them were placed in the same cell but both of them doesn't know each other identity.

Ryung's sister finally found out that he's Geom, she didn't immediately say the truth but rather keeping her mouth shut knowing that it might cause him trouble if she said anything. Their only time that they could spend together and it turned out that Ryung's sister closeness was because she was trying to flirt with him.

The other side found out that Geom is still alive and is finding his sister, they also found out that Ryung's sister was capture and using her as a bait to find Geom. Ryung finally knows the girl in the cell with him was his sister that he's been finding. He thought his plan worked but it failed and had to watch his sister die in front of him. More worst is that he had to pretend nothing happened and was a show to him. He joined the street gangster group so he could get close to the rich guys from the government.

After his sister's death he began to think throughly about taking revenge on the ones who killed his father and sister. Right at the end of this episode Ryung asked his father Sol Dol to teach him tricks to being a thief.

Episode 8
This is the best episode by far.
Ryung is finally getting there as being Iljimae. Sol Dol his father is slowly teaching him how to become a thief and of course Sol Dol doesn't know anything about Ryung wanting to be a thief to take revenge.

Within a time Ryung has already master the technique of climbing walls, walking without sound and unlocking locks. He then sneaked into one of who-ever-guy's place to find something, he stoled a painting but never thought it would make this much trouble. He didn't find anything special about that painting he stoled and never thought this would cause trouble to his friend.

So that painting worth a lot of money and Ryung's friend picked it up on the floor and kept it. The guards found the painting and immediately arrested that friend of Ryung. Ryung trying to help his friend and doing all he could like seeing the King and telling him the story. But it was no use they still arrested Ryung's friend.

During the time where Ryung is seeing the king, Bong Soon found a item on the floor which she remember it was from a little she know (and that's Ryung). So I'm guessing that she will finally found out the owner of that item and probably feelings will develop.

So the only way to free him is that the thief had to appear again. Ryung planned to go in that house again and unlock the store room. Also planned to steal the money which were being transfer. This would be his first mission known as Iljimae. His friend was let free as the real thief appeared and all the guards were chasing after the real thief.

At the end of this episode Ryung finally meets Eun Chae at Geom's house. Both of them had eye contact.

Episode 8 was really good and finally Junki is taking action. Now that Bong Soon finally found trace of the young Geom existence and Eun Chae finally meets Ryung unexpectedly. Hope there will be new relationship happening. And in the preview for episode 9 seeing Junki disguise differently , looks like he's in action again.
I think from now on it will get more interesting.

Iljimae Episode 5 & 6

Sorry for not posting anything about Junki now because my fandom with him kind of dropped and I'm into a new group. But anyways, I'm still watching Iljimae, he's totally awesome in this drama.

Be aware it spoiler warning!

Episode 5
Ryung finally gain back his memories and know his true identity. With that pain he is now trying to find out the truth of his father's death. Contacting the guy who tried to capture him before saying that he was a friend of his father but that time he didn't have his memory. But now that guy has been capture and sent to prison.
Ryung also knows that his sister and mother is still alive but have no idea where they are. So he planned spending the money he earned in that fight to get people to find out about it.

On the other side those guys who keep trying to kill Yong kept on sending people to investigate and to find out who is Yong and is he still alive.

Episode 6
Ryung got cheated by Bong Soon and lost all his money, more on Shi Hoo and his arrow shooting for 3 days. That street gangster decided to help Ryung in helping him finding his sister probably after seeing how his sister looks like and probably have a feels for her.
The siblings didn't get to meet each other even though they were very close to each other.

If you are really into watching it then it's interesting but while I was watching it I kept thinking "when is Junki gonna be Iljimae?" Episode 5 & 6 is alright, talked about a lot of things to build up the story.

Iljimae Episode 3 & 4

Watched episode 3 & 4 the other day.
As much as I want to see Junki being the hero Iljimae but I know this won't come so early as episode 3 & 4 still trying to build up the story.

Episode 3 & 4 we get to see the grown up of Shi Hoo and Eun Chae. Shi Hoo still was treated badly by his brother and mother and the only one who treats him like a family is Eun Chae. Somehow it doesn't feel like a brother & sister love they have but they can't be together anyway since they are blood related.

There's some parts where were quiet boring but have to watch it otherwise you won't understand the rest afterward.

The part where Ryung fighting against Shi Hoo was really sad for me. Especially when Ryung was all hurt but not giving up really mad me cry, I was really tearing during that part.

In episode 3 & 4 I do feel like Jun Ki has over reacted in some of the parts especially when he's trying to be cute and funny. But this doesn't stop me from watching and supporting Jun Ki. I am really looking forward to how Ryung becomes Iljimae.

Iljimae Episode 1 & 2

Last night I finally watched Iljimae ep1 & 2.

The start of episode 1 was really cool showing Junki as Iljimae stealing and how he didn't get caught and stuff.
Just have to say his outfit was super cool, especially with that mask.

After that it went back to telling his story when he was young. Geom (Junki) was a rich kid living happily with his father and mother. But things happens and Geom's father was killed and everyone finding Geom. His life was in danger, he was saved by Sol Dol (Lee Mon Shik) and they started living together as a family.

That is practically what the first & second episode is all about. At the end of episode 2 Junki finally appears he acted super cute. I wonder which girl he ended up with and I'm excited to see how he becomes the famous thief Iljimae.

The 2nd wallpaper is with the Hong Kong singer Joey Yung, she's my favorite singer out of all the Hong Kong singers. So glad 2 of my favorite idols can be together in a photo.

Junki in "L change the worLd" press con

I think this is pretty old, probably around February time. But just then I was browsing through youtube about my most awaiting movie "L change the worLd", I randomly clicked on this video and surprisingly I saw Junki in it.
Maybe it's not such a big deal but I'm happy to see Junki likes Death Note as well (Well I assume he likes it since he's there for the press conference). Can't wait for this movie to be out on DVD.

Pepsi Hong Kong Event

These are the Hong Kong Pepsi event that was held on the 1st April. I just have to say previous Pepsi's costume were much cooler than this one. Out of all I only liked Show Luo's clothing (the guy who's wearing the vest). And Junki's hair, he was the only one who dyed strips of his hair blue. But I don't really like his hair style in this, too long and the I don't like the black head band.

I'm curious at the CM now.

Here are some photos I found at baidu (a Chinese website) of photos Jun Ki filming the new drama "Ijimae". His hair and clothing immediately reminds me back of "King and the Clown" but it's only the looks it was said his character is totally opposite of Gong-Gil.
I heard that this drama will be airing during April or May.

Drama Iljimae extended to 20 episodes

Today, March 14, a staff of SBS television station revealed “We are planning to extend drama Iljimae up to 20 episodes. On July 9, it will be aired the episode 18. If we extended 2 more episodes, the last episode will be aired on July 24.”

This man also said “We only hope for the performing of Lee Jun Ki. We will wait for several days after airing the first episodes, then we can give final decision whether the drama should be longer or not. Anyway, if it added only 2 episodes, it would not a big problem.”

He said that the big problem to prolong this drama is the work schedule of main casts such as Lee Jun Ke, han Hyo Joo, Lee Young Ah… That’s why they cannot decide anything at this time.

This drama is filmed while still in the process of writing the script. Therefore, scriptwriter Choi Ran has to put all her strength and her effort to make an interesting content for this drama. She said that she will do anything to prolong the drama as long as the work schedule of main casts are suitable.

Lee Jun Ki is one of the young Korean stars who are very being adored by Chinese audiences, especially after drama My Girl was successfully when broadcasting on Hunan television station on the recent Lunar New Year.

In April last year, Lee Jun Ki has organized a big birthday party in Korea. It's near his birthday in April, Chinese fans are preparing the special presents to give him. They also assigned an association to come to Korea to participate this party.

According to sina's reporters, Chinese fans have gathered all the wishes for Lee Jun Ki; in there also had signatures of about 100.000 people. LJK: I'm happy to get the great award of Sohu. Everybody likes my roles so much that make me more confident. This award is given by audience, so I feel very honored. Hence, I will try to perform in good films to requite you. Thank you again.

Sohu: In 2007, you appeared in many dramas and movies. Which film do you like most?

LJK: I like all the films I participated in. However, Time of Dog and Wolf is a special film in which I tried my best to show a totally different image. Luckily, it was welcomed by audience. Therefore, Time of Dog and Wolf is a very meaningful to me.

Sohu: What is your plan in 2008?

LJK: I'm performing in the new drama of SBS television Iljimae. Hopefully, this trial will bear fruit as last year. I also hope that audience will love this role. Iljimae is a historical film which is different from other ones. I hope this challenging will be accepted by audience. I believe that if I try my best, the viewers will show corresponding regards. So, please wait for my performing in this new film.

Sohu: There's a lot rumors that you will appear in the television movie of Hai Nham. Have you thought about playing film in China?

LJK: My performing professor esteems me so high, I feel really surprised. If time permits, certainly I hope to have an opportunity to cooperate with them. However, I haven't reached final decision. What the press reported is rather sudden to me.
Now we only contact to get acquainted. If there's good scenario, I will play in Chinese drama.

Sohu: Not long ago, it was reported that your image in Iljimae was revealed in Korea. Lately, it turned out that one of your Chinese fans created the photograph and then sent it to CY. Your fans love you so much that make us admire. A star usually keeps distance with fans, but you seem different. Can you say about this?

LJK: I never think I should keep distance with fans. Although I can't meet all my fans, I can exchange relations with them on the net. Besides visiting official fanclub web, I also create a private room on the net.

Contacting with fans on the Internet is really important to me. I can use internet to evoke feelings of my fans. Through internet, I know that although Iljimae hasn't been aired yet, it gains much attentions from people. This makes me enthusiastic and cheerful. I hope I can contact with fans more.

Sohu: Please reveal a little about the state of filming Iljimae!

LJK: Up to now, there haven’t been many scenes of mine in Iljimae. From now to when the film is broadcasted, I will have many action scenes. The backstage staff and I will try our best. I hope the viewers will welcome Iljimae.

Sohu: Can you say about your wishes in new year?

LJK: First of all, I wish a good health. With actors like me, health is most important. I also hope everybody will be healthy. Personally, I hope the new film will go smoothly and be welcomed by audiences. Moreover, I also hope to hold a fan meeting in this year.

Jun Ki leaving Hong Kong back to Korea

After secretly coming to Hong Kong to filmed a new ad for the soft drink company- Pepsi, Lee Jun Ki returned to Korea on a 12 o'clock flight, February 26. There were only 6 to 7 fans seeing he off at the airport. Lee Jun Ki was very cheerful, smiling constantly as he shook hands and signed for the fans. He also received lots of presents from them.

In addition, on the evening of February 25, two high-ranking leaders of EEG- Woo Yu and Tae Man Hee invited Lee Jun Ki to have dinner with them in a Korean restaurant. Woo Yu and Tae Man Hee arrived first. Lee Jun Ki joined them half an hour later due to his conflicting schedule.

Although he wore a sporty suit and a hat, he couldn't hide his recently straighten hair and the red highlight at the ends.

Though there were many reporters being presence, Lee Jun Ki didn't answer any questions at all and went directly upstairs.

SPRIS photos is always loved by me, I just love the way they filmed Junki and their products. But somehow this season's photos didn't surprise me too much, I like the previous collections more. Hope there's more SPRIS photos.

Iljimae being postponed

The SBS Channel has announced that, the ancient drama Iljimae with the star Lee Joon Ki will be postponed until the end of 2008.
According to the previous plan, Iljimae will be broadcast on April. However, SBS Channel has changed the plan recently, after finishing King and I, they will broadcast I Love You (Ahn Jae Wook played) and Gourmet (Kim Rae Won played).

Because of the unexpected appearance of the drama which has finished filming I Love You, Iljimae has to be postponed the time of broadcast.
The crew will continue filming Iljimae; and like I Love You, the drama will finish all the scenes before broadcasting.

Iljimae is the ancient drama which has the most expected in near future. Except the favorite young stars Lee Joon Ki, Han Hyo Joo, Lee Young Ah, Park Shi Hoo, the drama has the present of the real talent cast Jo Min Ki, Lee Moon Shik...

This is such a shame, I was excited to see this drama and now I have to wait until the end of 2008 and now it's only the start of 2008. Such a long time to wait.

CF with Hong Kong Stars

The famous actor Lee Jun Ki secretly appeared in Hong Kong on February 24 to film a new CF for Pepsi Corporation.

Edison Chen was also invited to join the filming, but he didn't show up on that day. Therefore, only Jun Ki, Louis Koo and Show Luo participated in the advertisement.

Hong Kong press reveals that many reporters arrived at Zi Wan Commercial Center when they heard that Edison would appear in this CF. However, Edison didn't show up because he was cooperating with the police to investigate his sex scandal. Moreover, reporters had a big surprise to meet with Korean idol Lee Jun Ki.

During the CF filming, despite their different languages, Jun Ki, Luois and Show worked together very well.At 8 PM, Jun Ki came back to his hotel to rest, and he will fly back to Korea on February 25. This Pepsi CF, featuring many stars such as Ariel Lin, Huang Xiao Ming, Lee Jun Ki, Show Luo and Edison, will be released all around Asia very soon.

May 18 - Review

I didn't especially went looking for "May 18" but I happen to find the download link when browsing through a forum. Since it also have English subs without thinking I downloaded it straight away.

Junki appeared in the first half of the movie, his role is Jin Woo which is Min Woo's younger brother. Their parents died long time ago so the only family member left was each other.
Jin Woo is a hard working student who has top results in the class.
I thought his role quiet important although he died half way through the movie which was pretty sad.

Seeing his acting in "May 18" I didn't think there's any difficulties for him, his character is just a normal high school student.

The movie was pretty good but I lost interest in the movie after Junki died. There's also other reason why I lost interest in the movie, it was mainly because the subs didn't match and I was talking to my mum and brother.

Korean Actor Tipped for Chinese Classic Remake

Chinese celebrity television screenwriter Hai Yan has invited South Korean actor Lee Jun-ki to lead a remake of one of his best-known works.

"Yi Chang Feng Hua Xue Yue De Shi" ("A Story of Romance"), swept China in 1997 and brought the now-seasoned actress and director Xu Jinglei to the limelight.

The upcoming remake will be the first project in a joint cultural exchange program between China's Ailang Cultural Industry Group and the South Korean company COMA, to which Lee belongs. The two companies officially signed a cooperation deal on Saturday in Beijing.

Along with Lee, cast members from the Chinese side will include Taiwan actor Teddy Wang Jianlong, and mainland actress Lu Enhua.

Lee Jun-ki is widely known in China for his role as a feminine clown in the 2005 Korean hit film "The King and the Clown." He further cemented his Chinese fan base with last year's TV drama, "The Time between Dog and Wolf."

In September, Lee's high-profile joining up with the Hong Kong-based Emperor Entertainment Group, revealed his ambition to expand his career in China.

Hai Yan said on Saturday that he appreciates Lee's acting in "The King and the Clown." From this experience Hai Yan decided that the actor was suitable for his play.

The celebrated screenwriter's latest work, "Five-Star Hotel," also features a South Korean -- actress Jeong Yu-mi -- who managed to secure popularity among Chinese audiences through the show.

MBC Drama Award

Congratulation to Jun Ki for winning the excellent male actor award at MBC Drama Award Festival. From his 2007 production "Time Between Dog and Wolf" Junki has won the excellent male actor award.

I was thinking that there must be a award for Junki because "Time Between Dog and Wolf" was really good and Junki really put a lot of effort in starring his character.
Although he only got 1 award but it's better than nothing. I read the newspaper the drama "The Legend" starring Bae Yong Joon received 8 awards in totally, everyone says it's good so I'm downloading it now.

By the way I don't really like his hairstyle at the moment. It looks weird to me, is Junki leaving his hair long again?

Virgin Snow - Review

Finally got to watch "Virgin Snow", although I was really excited about watching when it was still filming but now that I had seen it, it was rather a disappointment.

Because Junki is the main character and he gets more screen than Aoi does so most of the time it's in Korean. Junki didn't attempt to speak a lot of Japanese but it's Aoi who's the one that attempt to speak Korean more.

What made it a not so good film was that because of the different language, Korean and Japanese also the plot is very ordinary. As there isn't much conversation between the two main character because they don't understand each other languages.
Sometimes I get confuse whether they are in Korea or in Japan because it doesn't indicate it on the screen. When I see Junki who's 25 act as a 18 or something student who does kiddy things makes me feel weird although it's cute in a way.

To say the truth the only thing that is worth watching it was for the two main character Aoi and Junki. There lots of cute scene of Junki, I especially likes when his hair is messy.

Rating: 6/10

Junki received an award for the 2007 Shanghai Charming Fashion Award.
In the video Junki expressed that he doesn't have much tips on dressing and I did remember that he's not much of a fashion guy but the clothing he wears always look good.
I didn't really like what he wore to his award ceremony and I don't like his hair like that too.

44th Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival

I know I'm being late on Junki's news but I just watched this recently on youtube.
It's the 44th Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival, Junki was the only Korean artist who attended the festival.
Although Junki isn't there to receive an award but as a guest to present an award.
In this clip I find Junki being extremely cute!
First of all he tried speaking in Mandarin, although it sounds funny but it's cute. Then he was asked a question because it's a long reply so he asked in English "Can I speak in Korean?" Of course he can! And when he just start speaking in Korean the fans laughed, I think it's because he's the only Korean there and no one understands it.
Then when the translator suddenly pop up from the back which kind of scared Junki, he was so cute!

This is what Junki will look like in the new drama "Iljimae". Junki wearing the olden days clothes, this reminds me back of Junki as Gongil. Those beautiful days of Junki where Junki is know "More prettier than womens".

The first photo is really nice and shoted very beautifully (but I don't know if it's photoshoped). The 2nd photo is probably taken when they are filming.

I hope this will grab my heart back for my Junki obsession.

Magnificent Vacation = May 18

Actually I totally forgot to post this up because before while walking to find a place to eat lunch, I saw a big poster outside of a cinema. That movie poster is called "May 18" a Korean movie. I didn't know what movie it was but it was rare to have a Korean movie in Sydney. But that poster looks really familiar. Then I realise it was "Magnificent Vacation", they just changed the name to "May 18".

Because I'm in the middle of fighting against with my assessments so I couldn't spare the time to go to the cinema to watch it. Hope I get to watch it when the DVD releases.

Junki new drama - "Iljimae"

I knew this a week ago but I forgot to blog about it in here.
So I was checking out the new Korean dramas on DramaWiki and found that Jun Ki will participate in a drama called "Iljimae" which will broadcast in 2008.

This is the synopsis of the drama from DramaWiki:
Set during the Joseon Dynasty, Iljimae acts as a useless gangster in the marketplace by day but at night he is a chivalrous robber who robs corrupt government officials to give to the poor. After each robbery he leaves behind a wooden branch from a plum tree at the site of the robbery to take responsibility for the robbery.

The drama sounds like another interesting one, I'm really looking forward in this!

Junki in Hong Kong

On the 2nd October Junki finally arrived in Hong Kong, first time going to Hong Kong there were more than 100 fans waiting at the airport.

Once Junki step out of the gate fans all hurried to give flowers and presents to Junki.

Sherman Chung and Ken Hung represent EEG to welcome Junki on the day. Junki receive each present happily and kept on waving and doing the V sign to the fans. After Junki safely got on the car he's heading to the hotel and once he got off the car more guards appeared.

Sherman Chung praise that Junki is prettier than a girl and said "Junki looks prettier than me".

Then the reporters asked Ken Hung what if EEG prepare a movie where you have to kiss Junki passionately? He replied "I would feel lucky, I wouldn't be scared to kiss him, I just have to imagine him as a beautiful girl."

On the day the official contract signing was held, Junki expressed that there were a lot of company to choose from but he chose EEG in the end. During the event Joey Yung as a guest taught Junki some Cantonese, "Can you be my wife" this is what Joey taught Junki. When Junki said it to the fans all the fans started screaming. Junki then asked Joey to say it again and afterward he said it 3 times. Then Joey asked Junki to say it to her once, the fans all screamed "Don't~~" Junki then said "I have to go through a lot of stages to get marry". He then jokingly said next time when a Korean friend goes to Hong Kong he will teach that friend that sentence.

Atferward the reporters asked if Joey has fallen in love to Junki? Joey replied "He's only 25, younger than me by 2 years. Supporting him is enough."

When reporters asked will Junki participate in movie producted by EEG he answered "When I was young I really like Hong Kong movies, if there is a chance I would love to". He was then asked who he want to cooperate with, he replied "Jacky Cheng, Jet Li and Steven Chou". As for female actress he would love to work with Shu Qi and Maggie Cheung.

He then was asked if he cared that people said you look like a girl? He answered "Each actor will act by following the script, I'm the same. But in the recent drama the character I play is very manily and tough".

EEG manager Mani expressed that Junki will participate in singing, movie and drama, later EEG will produce a movie that Junki will also be participating in it. When asked who will be the female lead she answered "umm... Gillian will do, but it depends on her behaviour."

I was reading the Chinese newspaper this morning, I saw a photo which looked like Junki but wasn't sure if it's was him so I started reading the article.

It said that Junki will join Hong Kong recording company EEG (the same company as Twins and Joey Young), I was kind of shocked. Contract has already been signed and now Junki is going towards the China media. Because of work load he didn't get the time to learn Chinese but from now on Junki will work hard on improving his Chinese.

I guess I should be looking forward to Junki speaking Chinese since it's a language that I understand.

I find myself lazying off again and not updating this blog. As I know myself is more devoted to the Japanese side it's really hard for me to keep track of an Korean artist, sometimes I just can't be bother checking what's new or I'm too into my other Japanese artist. This is so good! Today I watched ep5 to ep7 in a row and going to watch ep8 later. The pace they are going is perfect not too quick and not a drag.

I was reading the Chinese newspaper today and in the corner there's this article about Junki. It said that while he was filming "Time Between Dog & Wolf" he felt really sick and after the filming he went to the hospital for a body check. The doctor suggested that he should rest for a week but due to the filming he had to postpone his rest until his filming is all done.
I hope Junki is fine and getting better.

On the 18th July it is the broad casting day of Korean drama "Time Between Dog and Wolf". So far only 2 episode have been broad cast, and the second episode lead actor/actress Lee Jun Ki, Jung Kyung Ho and Nam Sang Mi shows up, but the rating didn't rise too much compared to episode 1.

On the 20th the rating of "Time Between Dog and Wolf" have been announced, episode 2 only received 10.9% and compared to episode 1 only receive 10.8% which only rise by 0.1%. Another company AGB rating for "Time Between Dog and Wolf" only received an average of 9.4% and only rise 0.6% from episode 1.

Episode 1 start from the childhood moments, from episode on the lead actor/actress
Lee Jun Ki, Nam Sang Mi and Jung Kyung Ho will show up which audience is excitedly about.

This is Episode One of "Time of the Dog and Wolf", I guess we all have waited a very long time for this drama to be aired. Sorry for those who can't read Chinese because this is Chinese subtitles, so far I'm still search for the English Subtitle.

Junki is in it so less only for the first 10mins or so, the rest of the episode talks about Junki as a little boy and how he met Sang Mi. It's heading in a good direction, finally something which is not romance. The next episode has more of Junki as it show him grow up.

I met actor Lee Jun-ki (25 years old) near Incheon Harbor, which was filled with large containers and cranes and the scent of the salty air from the sea on July 3 . He was shooting an MBC TV soap opera, “The Time of Dogs and Wolves," or “Gae-wa Neukdae-ui Shigan” in Korean (airing at 9:55 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays), which will hit the airwaves on July 18. He seemed very tired of the extremely hot and humid weather and lit a cigarette when he spoke.

“It is less hot and humid here than when I was shooting in Thailand. It is physically hard but I am more concerned about how I can become absorbed into my character.”

In the TV drama, main character Lee Su-hyeon (played by Lee Jun-ki) becomes a secret agent to take revenge for his mother’s death on the Thai criminal organization “Chungbang.” He disguises himself as Kay, a gangster, and infiltrates into the organized crime ring. Lee said about Soo-hyun, “He is wild but very gentle in love. His personality is very similar to me as he is very insistent and unyielding.”

Lee added, “Su-hyeon can be sometimes sad, happy, vengeful, and loving. This is the most emotional and moodiest character I have ever played, so it is hard for me to become Su-hyeon.”

This new drama has many action scenes such as participating in a Muay Thai competition or fighting with gangsters. He looks completely opposite from Gong-gil, the pretty clown that he played in the movie the King and the Clown. He said, “I am very careful not to be too stylish nor put on much make-up.” He cut his hair, which covered his entire neck before, as well.

Lee said, “I had hard time last year because it seemed that I was trapped in a pretty boy image. People like that image. But it is up to me to break that image.”

Last year he tried to break the mold when he played Seung-seok, a fighter in the movie “Flying Daddy,” but the movie felt short of the expectations in terms of box office goals. Many movie fans were critical of his performance, calling it “awkward.”

Lee says he is not obsessed with statistics and that he wants to be known as real actor and a “cool wolf.” He gained stardom with his looks so quickly, which led to people misunderstanding him as fastidious.

He said, “I am down to earth, unlike my looks. I am uncomfortable with being called as a star. I don’t like special treatment. I need to learn more until become a true actor respected by all.”

While having a meal at a harbor cafeteria with staff members, he joked, “The cook here must be a vegetarian. This meal contains no meat at all.”

The title, “the Time of Dogs and Wolves” comes from French expression: “L’heure entre chien et loup,” which means the time of sunset between afternoon and night when it is hard to distinguish dogs from wolves. I asked Lee when is such a time for him.

“It is when I feel rivalry toward an excellent actor whom I have a close relationship with and respect for. As recently as when Jeon Do-yeon received the Best Actress Award at Cannes, I thought I wanted to do better than her someday. I hope that the time of dogs and wolves comes to me many times so that I can become a fierce actor.

I was randomly youtube-ing this afternoon, suddenly found an Japanese artist by the name of SHOWTA. Other than his voice surprises me his songs are extremely good.
While watching one of his PV "Trans-winter~Fuyu no Mukougawa~" I found a couple of shots of him looked like Junki. If you want to see that please watch that PV I named above because his other PVs doesn't look like Junki. Anyways, at least they both have a common thing, that is they both have a pretty face and looked girly (but Junki is not anymore).

This might be random to be blogging here, but his songs are really nice.

Korean star Lee Jun Ki is currently learning Thai language for the new upcoming drama "Time of Dog & Wolf". To be able to act fluently in the parts where he have to speak Thai, Junki went through professional and hard training, even during filming venue he would constantly speak to practice.
A staff member expressed "Junki worked very hard even for the smallest thing just to get his character more of a realistic feel. Speaking Thai is only a small part but I hope everyone will feel the hard work that Junki have put in it".
The drama "Time of Dog & wolf" the Thailand scene is only for 3 episodes, all the staff member worked very hard for the scripts and everything. To make things for real they even hire specialties to help the Korean actor/actress to pronounce the Thai word more accurately.

The first episode will broadcast on the July 11th.

After nearly a month of travelling,I finally digested China and Thailand work schedule and come back.
Want to say thanks to all korean fans for welcoming me even though my flight is being delayed.
To tell the truth,I don't even know how to say hello to you all..
But when the gate open,I heard a roar of shoutings which I'm really quite stunned by it.
In the end,I still use the normal way of bowing 90 degree to greet you all.
Personally I like the way of greeting I learn in Thailand,i was intending to use that to greet you all,but I didn't do it in the end..
Feared to bring inconvenience to the other passengers,I began to quicken my pace unknowingly,to this,I was feeling regretful ^^
Hope everyone understands...

Firstly,i was delighted to see everyone,because of gratefulness,my attention was always on you all,even though i was in the car.
Having the thought that there is people constantly waiting for me all the while,thats why my mind was blank as i was constantly feeling grateful to you all.

Not only to those who came and fetch me,those that have been supporting me on the net all the while,thank you so much.
And also thanks all China fans.From arrivial to departure,you all have been showering me with a lot of concern and support,and up till now I can still remember it vividly.
Took really a long time to be by you all side,but you still all continue to wait for me,welcome me,really thanks a lot..
Hearing sentences like "Must visit next time" really touches my heart a lot..

Hi everyone..this is Junki..
After leaving Thailand last night,I am already in Shanghai..
Everyone is fine??...
also need to say hi to all those fans that have been waiting and supporting me all the while..
And also,thanks all the Shanghai fans for giving me a warm welcome.
The airport have sent out a lot of people,was worried that there will be a commotion..thats why mostly people can't enter..
and didn't get to see the fans that have been waiting for my arrival at the airport..
Was trying hard to negotiate...and i finally get to go out.. haha..
the decoration at the airport was beautiful...really thank you..^^

Very thankful for all the Thai Fans for giving me the warm hostility and support for my 3 weeks stay in Thailand..
and was able to complete all the filming .
And also thanks all those who have been escorting me when I'm having my own private time..
For someone who cant visit Thailand like me,this trip have been the most valuable one..and also the time where i can interact closely with all my distant fans..
Not only for the fans,everyone of Thailand is very kind and good,leaving me with a deep impression..

Hello everyone, I’m, Junki.

I hope everyone is doing fine…

I’m in Thailand working very hard in the filming as the special agent Lee Junki.

While filming overseas, I do feel a little anxious and worried, but until now, everythings is still considered to be progressing well. There are still a lot of scenes to be filmed back in Korea, it seems like the filming (of the scenes) to be done in Korea would be more tedious and challenging as compared to the filming in Thailand, I suppose…^^

It’s not even a month since I left Korea, and it’s not the first time I’m outside (i.e, filming overseas)….

I’m still feeling a little homesick/I still missed my country. If it’s last year, I would probably felt a little gloomy. Perhaps it’s because of the fact that I’m a year older now, I feel that I’m even more homesick now/I feel that I miss my country even more now. (Even though I am saying this, it doesn’t mean that a year older is more attractive, )

I really miss everyone…Korea is still not very hot, right? I hope that everyone would be living in happiness… ^^

And also…

Due to the slower internet connection here, I spent a long time in a particular website that I chanced upon a particular news. I felt speechless about it. “ Singer Lee Junki made his debut, releasing his own singles album”… this type of news - which was based on groundless fact - appeared …There’s no accurate report on it, please even though that the writer (of the news) might have nothing better to do, he/she shouldn’t have used this way of making a report.

Now is the time where I’m totally immersed in the filming of D&W. I hope that none of my family members have been fooled by such untrue reports. The weather is very hot, it makes one feel very uncomfortable, it’s very easy for one to be angry just because of one ridiculous report. I haven’t even made known to the media yet, I haven’t even announced to the public, yet it’s been reported already… I’m really lost here, perhaps, that person might be too ignorant already….

If the reporters would write their names at the end of their own articles, then all the things that they had reported would be correct and true (supported with evidence), this basic responsibility and integrity should be what a news reporter should be quipped with… shouldn’t the writer (of the above news) have known this before he/she became a reporter? A news report/article without the writer’s name on it, it should be very embarrassing…

Whenever I leave Korea, there will always be one or two such incidents happening….

I will not be worried over such matters anymore, over here, while everyone is working so hard, I’ll continue to be totally immersed in my current work. At Hajunse jun’s message board, it’ll be much lesser, so sorry then….because over here, those gloomyness that I have, will all be lessened … hehe

Everyone of my family here, please continue to support and encourage me…
I’ll be back soon, please continue to stay healthy and strong and wait for me in Korea…

Super star Lee Jun Ki, on the 17th night at 9pm he attended to the international make-up brand "Dior" which was held at Shanghai. Other popular and pretty female artist was also invited but Lee Jun Ki shines from the rest. He was surrounded with more than 100 fans and guarded by more than 10 body guards. When fans saw Jun Ki some of them screamed "Oppa! Oppa!" loudly and they were out of control.
While Jun Ki was leaving it caused a big commotion and he was accidentally hit by an microphone which was hold by a reporter. After that Jun Ki hurried and left the venue.

Lee JG Gets Proposal from Kaiger

Actor Lee Joon-gi has received a movie proposal from famed Chinese filmmaker Chen Kaiger.

At the 10th Shanghai International Film Festival held Saturday, Lee met with Kaiger who was on the judging panel. Kaiger reportedly personally proposed to Lee that if he would be interested in doing a film with him in China. Lee immediately responded that he's more than willing if there's a good script and a fitting role.

Kaiger had worked with Hallyu star Jang Dong-gun in the 2005 film The Promise and is apparently positive about working with a Korean actor again. The deal may be realized as Lee is more popular than any other star in China.

After wrapping filming of the Thailand portion of a Korean drama which will air next month, Lee attended the Shanghai festival where he was awarded the popularity prize along with Sharon Stone. He returned home Sunday.

Off topic: Sorry for not updating again lately, just finish my project today and got another assignment due on Wednesday. My holiday is coming up and I should have plenty of time to update and do translation.

So right after I finished my project I went to check out what's new on Junki, found a bunch of photos. I'm assuming that it's photos taken when he went to Shanghai to attend to the Shanghai International Film Award Festival if not please correct me.

These photos are from 3 events, the one where Junki is wearing the baby blue suit is from the Dior party, the one where Junki wears the pink suit is from Suhu interview and the one where he wears the tuxedo is the award ceremony. I couldn't be bother to split them up.

Actor Lee Jun Ki will receive the Most Popular Overseas Star Award at the 10th annual Shanghai International Film Festival along with Sharon Stone.

According to Lee Jun Ki's agency on the 8th, top world stars were invited to the Shanghai International Film Festival commemorating its 10th year and Lee Jun Ki will receive the award along with Sharon Stone.

The agency says the reason behind winning this award lies in the increased popularity of Lee Jun Ki in China after the introduction of the movie 'The King and the Clown' and drama series 'My Girl.'

On the 30th May, the guest list for participating this year Shanghai International Film Festival have been announced on the news conference.
Famous actor and actress from America, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and China will be participating. In the Korea section it is listed that Lee Jun Ki will be participating in this year Shanghai International Film Festival.

This film festival is held during June 16th - June 24th.

There was a bunch of list but I can't be bother to translate all the names, all we need to know is Junki is participating in it.

Isn't it's a little late now? Excuse me... I should have report my safety message to everyone once I've arrived but due to something I didn't have time...
Fans in Korea how are you all?? I safely landed on Thailand, didn't thought the Thailand internet is so slow... I didn't mean all of the server in Thailand is slow but compared to Korea it's slow... Gotta get used to it....
After this and that I decided to post it in the early morning.
Opening an window took 1.2 minutes, must be because I'm logging in at the hotel.
Thailand is really hot, but I got used to it now I can enjoy hotness and feeling of sweating. Maybe because the filming hasn't started yet so I'm feeling alright.
First day arrived in Thailand, I received warm welcome from the Thai fans (even if it was really late) I arrived Thailand happily.. Thank you...
Thanks everyone for the everyday support!!
Seeing that many fans in Thailand just like before I feel shocked and happy...
So I will try harder for the filming for everyone...
I've been here for 5 days... I miss Korea but...
But I have sourced all the Korean restaurant so don't worry about me meals (very yummy...)

This is the theme song of "Virgin Snow" sang by Moriyama Naotaro and the song name is called "Mirai~Kaze no Tsuyoi Gogo ni Umareta Sonet~". Yes it's such a long name and I was annoyed when I was typing it out because it's just too long.
Even though I have no understand of the lyric but I really like the medley of the song. I think it will go well with the scene of the movie.
